What should people know about you: I love the old school rules of Tradition and Respect. I believe we are Blessed to be a Blessing , so we should always help someone along the way.

What is your greatest accomplishments: Raising my son, who is a wonderful man and becoming a KISS FM personality.

What was your first Job: A Sales Rep. at a Department Store on 34th street.

Who inspired you: Too many to mention, but if I have to name a few, I would start with God, my grandmother, my mother and my son.

A native New Yorker who migrated to New Jersey, who believes “It is Never Too late to Live Your Dreams” she came out of FIT with a Bachelors in Communications and dreams of combining “ the gift to Gab, Fashion and entertainment through singing, acting and speaking her mind. The love music and drama gave her the opportunity to perform in a number of Off Broadway and local plays, and many extra roles in movies. Her favorite performance was “The Billie Holiday Story” which allowed her to act, sing and dress elegantly in the same production.

Most known for her singing talent, she is a Lady who was born “Jazzing up the ABC’s “ Known to her fans as “Venus, A Lady With A Song” You could always find her singing something in the R&B, Jazz and Gospel arenas. Venus began singing in the church and has traveled and recorded with several choirs and many gospel greats such Beverly Monday-Collins and Kerygma, Stephanie Menatee, Dorothy Norwood, Richard Smallwood, and Be Be Winnins.

Desiring to find more ways to use the gift of Voice, lead Venus to study voice over after college. She can be heard in local and national commercials and many cooperate businesses. In 2004 voice over eventually lead her to an internship at WRKS FM , WQCD FM in NY, and WGHT in NJ. After completing the internship, she quickly became a member of the WGHT team as a fill in on air personality, engineering and producing shows and continued her quest in the same positions at 98.7 KISS FM and CD109. 9 (jazz format). After leaving WGHT, Venus began engineering many programs on KISS and in 2006 opened the mic as a fill in on air personality.

Venus makes her home in central New Jersey and has one son who is her pride and joy. She hopes to continue to be a Blessing using all of the talents God has given her to touch and inspire someone along her journey through spoken words, song and the belief in Dreams...
