The comical personality of Mike Shannon is the perfect way to get you through your weekend, as he gives New York a piece of his mind on KISS FM! Mike was born and raised in Boston, where he also attended Northeastern University. While in college he worked as an on-air personality and program director at the University's radio station.

In 1984 Mike graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication and then went on to obtain his M.A. in Mass Communication at Boston's Emerson College. Unable to resist the pleasure of entertaining, Mike began working as an announcer and program coordinator at the school's radio station.

Mike's experience landed him his first on-air position in Boston where he stayed for four years. From there, Mike kept moving along his road of success and began working on-air in Detroit for another four years. The New York listeners received their chance to be entertained in the summer of 1994 when he joined KISS FM's on-air staff.
