If you stand by the age old quote “Never as good as the first time” you would be considerably wrong. The 2nd annual Roots Picnic in Philadelphia was an infinite blast. Unlimited music brought complimentary smiles to everyone’s face. It was a prime example of how music can unite races and cultures together and develop such an amorous and peaceful ambiance. The music featured different genres, which kept my interest; the vibes were an interesting mix.

Happy Mothers Day!!!!!

Spent a wonderful night with the Nassau County Sheriff Guardians & one of the Tuskegee Airmen. What an awesome night meeting officers from every area of the law enforcement spectrum!!! yum yum!!! Highly decorated handsome men and my sisterfriends doing their thang in law enforcement!!!& and praising one another in this one night only gala held at Verdis in Old Westbury. Guardian president Darrin Green (who makes a MEAN sweet potato pie)and his board spearheaded this event that saluted those who have excelled in community involvement and who work diligently at reaching back and pulling others forward.  I felt blessed to be in their company .
