**Join me as I host A National Adoption Month Fashion and Talent Showcase by JuJu Models at The Alhambra Ballroom on Nov. 15, 4-8:30 P.M., Alhambra Ballroom, 2116 Adam Clayton Powell Blvd. and 126th St. Join Spence-Chapin and friends to help raise funds to support Spence-Chapin's adoption services and to celebrate National Adoption Awareness Month. JuJu Models in association with Spence-Chapin's African-American Parents Advisory Committee, the evening's showcase features a Fashion and Talent Showcase and includes dinner, entertainment by up-and-coming artists, and a silent auction. Cost for the evening's ticket is $45 per person in advance, or $60 at the door. Children, ages 12 and under, are $20. Want to reserve your tickets? This is a book by (my BFF) a sister who has put her heart and soul into a story that plays and stretches with your imagination. If you love a book with the drama you have lived and that will have you yearning to find out what happens on the next page..This is it!!
Great Book!!! I read it in 3 days ..so if you have a long road trip ..

So Im sitting here with so many memories and too little space to write....
My heart bleeds for the boy I felt worthy of writing a letter to while dressed up in my Easter outfit sitting on my plastic covered couch leg crossed (so he would think I was older )(lol) I wrote “Dear Michael you’ll probably never get this letter …” Ironically there was a song he released that began the same way and YOU COULD NOT TELL ME THAT SONG WASN’T DIRECTED TO ME!!!!(lol) I have always been the self professed Mrs.Michael Jackson to be…like so many of my sisters J
I’ve loved him with a childs’ heart, lived every lyric and every tune
and now as a woman I weep a well for a man that’s simply gone too soon.

The Roots Picnic in Philly—Saturday June 6th

If you stand by the age old quote “Never as good as the first time” you would be considerably wrong. The 2nd annual Roots Picnic in Philadelphia was an infinite blast. Unlimited music brought complimentary smiles to everyone’s face. It was a prime example of how music can unite races and cultures together and develop such an amorous and peaceful ambiance. The music featured different genres, which kept my interest; the vibes were an interesting mix.

First walking in the area you are welcomed by the smell of Philly cheese steaks grilling close to the pier. While The Roots played their first set which was about 230pm, the small crowd sat and seemed to enjoy the music as if they were listening to their admired song on their very own Ipod, but as the time grew so did the crowd.
