MERRY XMAS
FREE HAIRCUTS TO ALL KIDS IN NYC

Cutting 4 kids Foundation:

Cutting 4 Kids foundation helps government agencies and community organizations serving at-risk youth by promoting knowledge of the challenges facing our youth through barbershops. Cutting 4 Kids foundation also hires barbers to go in troubled adolescent facilities and cut the kids hair for free. We are looking to help the youth achieve personal and professional success.

Our Mission:
Cutting 4 kids Foundation mission is to teach at-risk youth the profession of Barbering. Cutting 4 kids foundation also offers an online curriculum (barbershop101) through lesson plans that promotes academic basics while teaching the trade. Primarily, we will provide an online workbook, which outlines lesson plans for learning the trade. The workbook, while helping to teach the trade, secondarily helps the student learn reading, writing, and mathematics. We expect the student to develop proficiency in the basics and acquire tools of the trade through the lessons learned in developing the procedures and calculations necessary to run a successful barbershop business.

Were looking to provide seminars, workshops and training to help prepare the youth for college and employment. Cutting 4 kids foundation with the help of aspiring barbers will teach the art of barbering from beginning to end through distance learning techniques and the website www.barbershop101.com which teaches not only the skill but also the politics of barbering. A young enterprising barber will learn barbershop details from the how-tos of building a client base to the specifics of proper etiquette. Cutting 4 kids foundation also sponsors free haircuts to adolescent programs & community centers

Our Main Approach:
One of our most important marketing approaches is to create an environment whereby we can easily reach at-risk young adults that are potential candidates for an apprenticeship in Barbering. We do so by conducting the All Barber Leagues Basketball Tournaments ~ to showcase basketball talent and to raise funds. Throughout the year we plan to raise $50,000 to $100,000 each to further the mission of Cutting 4 kids foundation to support at-risk youth and to develop and perfect the curriculum (www.barbershop101.com) for our Barbering Apprenticeship Program (BAP).

The League - ABL:
The All Barber League (ABL) consists of a network of the finest Barbers & Barbershops throughout New York City who want to build awareness and bring more youth to the trade.

10 - 15 barbershops are selected from the ABL network will come together this Christmas to compete in the All Barber Leagues 3 on 3 Basketball Fundraising Tournament. This popular event is expected to draw up to 1,200 fans this year and reach over 2.5 million people. The tournament will also promote an atmosphere of competitiveness that will be required for success in the real world. This event is supported by Barcuch College, parents, basketball fans as well as community leaders and is quickly becoming a popular tradition in greater New York.
